Good Shepherd Medical Center is a 425-bed regional referral center located in Longview, Texas, approximately two hours east of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. System hospitals are also located in Marshall and Linden. The Longview hospital operates a Level II Trauma Center, Level IIIa Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a fully-automated inpatient, outpatient and outreach laboratory.
We are currently seeking an LIS Coordinator to ensure the Laboratory Information System is maintained and compliant with CAP standards as well as consistent with the overall mission of GSMC.
Minimum requirements must include a BS in Natural Science or Medical Technology, or Associate Degree in laboratory science or Medical Technology. MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), or equivalent. Minimum of two years of high complexity testing in an acute care hospital setting. Minimum of two years experience with LIS system.
