Summary:
Seeking candidates with strong Meditech experience, 5 years management experience, and someone who must be proficient in hardware and software concepts.
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. College degree with a strong emphasis in Computer Sciences highly desired.
Skills and abilities:
Must be able to work independently or in a group as necessary. Computer knowledge and data processing experience required.
Must be proficient in application technologies including development, testing, installation and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages the Applications Systems Analyst positions for time and attendance, job performance, and responsibilities.
• Must be capable of working independently to solve Information System problems.
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of the hospital’s applications.
• Accurately performs analytical work on the financial and other clinical systems as necessary to answer questions and/or research problems.
• Project coordinator for changes/upgrades primarily related to the Pharmacy, Order Entry, Point of Care, and PCM Modules.
• Work with Life Institute to prepare tools necessary to perform continuing training of all clinical systems.
• Assist in the preparation of reports needed by the Pharmacy, Order Entry, Point of Care and PCM end users for the successful completion of their tasks. Train the end users in the use and preparation of these reports as necessary.
• Must have a basic working knowledge of the Financial Systems.
• Must have a basic working knowledge of the Other Clinical Systems.
• Perform end-user training and support for other Microsoft products as necessary and capable.
• Work with Life Institute or Quality Mgt. to prepare and implement training for physicians and their staff in the clinical use of the Hospital’s system.
• Assist in the implementation of the above training system for physicians and their staff.
• Assist in performing operational items as detailed in the operations manual for the day to day performance of the hospital’s Applications.
• Develop an understanding and comfort level with the hospital’s data repository system for the purpose of utilizing and/or training as necessary.
• Take on-call rotation and respond to issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Be familiar with and assist other IS personnel in the performance of their duties as necessary.
• Perform other duties as may be needed.
