Oswego Health is searching for a Systems Analyst III to help in its migration to the Meditech Client Server Application next year. Oswego Health is situated 35 miles north of Syracuse, NY along the shores of Lake Ontario. We are a growing health system with a 164 Bed - Acute Care Hospital, 120 Bed - Long Term Care Facility with Rehabilitation and an Assisted Living Campus. This position is strategic to the growth of the Information Services and Telecommunication Department as it migrates to Meditech.
This position will focus on our physician community and their needs. The Systems Analyst III will be the main point of contact for the physician community for requests related to health information technology. This position will be responsible for the development of training and communications plans and will lead large scale projects throughout the organization in relationship to the physician community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Information systems, Business, Clinical Discipline or other related discipline required; Master’s degree, preferred. Project Management Certification preferred. At least five years experience in Information Services. Experience with information system implementation and support preferably in the healthcare industry. Experience with a health information applications required. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of applications that support the healthcare environment, change control, process flow, database technology, office automation and system processing flow. Skill in operating the listed tools and equipment: (PC, telephone, dictation equipment, copy machine, automobile, Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project) Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing: ability to maintain assigned programs and systems; ability to troubleshoot assigned programs; ability to meet project deadlines; ability to train and supervise project resources; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, peers and supervisors; ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions; ability to follow or give verbal and written instructions, as applicable.
